Welcome to Mitchelton Special School.
Our school caters for around 100 students from the ECDP to Year 12. We are situated in a cul-de-sac walking distance from Mitchelton train station. We are currently undergoing significant building works on site to cater to the growing needs of our school community.
Once the building works are completed our facilities will include:
- 28 general classrooms
- Library
- Sensory room
- Fully accessible catering kitchen for senior programs
- Cafe area
- 2 multipurpose rooms
- Inground trampolines
- Accessible garden beds
- Undercover area
- Primary School and High School Play areas
Our school is fully airconditioned to ensure the environment is kept at a comfortable temperature for our students to optimise their ability to learn.
We have 3 school buses which are used to transport students to community based learning opportunities, including our Pathways students to Off campus skill development programs to local businesses.
